An independent review of the National Redress Scheme is being conducted. This information is taken from the National Redress Scheme website.
About the review
Everyone is welcome to have a say, and everyone’s experience matters.
We want to hear from people who have applied for redress, as well as those who have not.
Feedback is open to:
- previous and current applicants
- families, friends, carers, anyone that has or is supporting someone with their redress journey
- people who have commenced an application but not proceeded with it or who have decided not to apply to the Scheme.
You can provide feedback by:
making a submission – A submission allows you to write about your experience with the Scheme in your own words in your own way. It is open and flexible, and can be as long or short as you want it to be.
participating in a feedback study – From 24 September 2020 until 23 October 2020, you will be able to access a feedback study with pre-prepared questions. You might choose to respond to pre-prepared questions if you don’t know exactly what you want to say, but want to give feedback.
You can choose to make a submission and participate in the study, or just choose one, whichever works best for you. Submissions are now open. The feedback study will be available from late September for a period of four weeks.
We can help you have your say if you are unable to complete the online study. To access assistance please email [email protected](link sends e-mail) requesting a call back, leaving details of your name, contact number and a preferred time.
We will not ask you to share your personal experience of abuse, and you do not have to include any personal information unless you want to. It’s your opportunity to tell us how we have done so far, so we can learn and improve.
You can find out more information on the National Redress Scheme website, or if you’d prefer, please feel free to ring Wattle Place on 1800 663 844 so we can help you have your say.
