Care Experienced History Month Day of Rememberance

As we mentioned in the newsletter, this month is the first Care Experienced History Month. It is a Scottish initiative, and Wattle Place only became aware of it shortly before the printing of the newsletter, through our involvement on the Forgotten Australians’ Aged Care Roundtable. That means we didn’t have the ability to organise events this year, especially while we are organising our 10th Anniversary event. We expect to be more prepared next year.

The last day of Care Experienced History Month 2021, Friday 30 April, will be a day of Rememberance, to remember Forgotten Australians who are no longer with us.

Wattle Place will stop for a minutes silence at midday on Friday. The organisers of Care Experienced History Month have provided a few suggestions for how you might participate in this link Remembrance+Day+Ideas. But of course, whether you participate, and how, are completely up to you.
